We are joyful to share that we held another successful Ski4Change tournament today, on February 27, 2020, at Snegny Resort.
Sadly, the weather once again had an effect on our event. This time, it rained overnight and the roads were covered with ice by the morning. Thus, not everyone could make it to the event. Nevertheless, we were excited to see familiar faces and a few newcomers! As always, medals and prizes were awarded to the winners in each age category. This was the second race of the season meaning the Cup winners were also announced at the ceremony after the race!
We thank the local ski teams, kids, and parents for their continued interest in our events! Due to the weather condition, we only had 60 participants this time. However, we were still able to collect $2,200 from the entry fees and from direct donations. We can’t wait to transfer the funds to Project Education South Sudan and tell them about the event!
We are extremely grateful to all the kids who joined today and to their parents who supported PESS’s cause. Please contact us via the contact form if you would like to receive a digital version of the race report or of the Ski4Change Cup leaderboard.
We would also like to recognize Snegny Resort for hosting the race again and providing the race poles, safety nets, and timing equipment! Also, a big shoutout to our partners, sponsors and volunteers for their help in coordinating this competition.
We look forward to our RedBull Jump & Freeze partner event in April! Stay tuned!
Thanks again everyone!
