We are excited to share that today, on January 19, 2018, we held a successful slalom charity race. Slalom is a ski discipline where one should turn quickly around the poles, as the distance between them is much shorter than in giant slalom.

It was a cold Friday evening in St. Petersburg but it didn’t stop participants from coming out to ski for a worthy cause! This time we had around 70 participants! We are extremely thankful to many local ski teams that accepted our initiation to this event! We are excited to realize that our race is becoming a tradition for many teams! And, of course, we are grateful to all the kids who joined us during their winter vacation and to their parents who were happy to spend their time at the mountain and donate money.

Top three places in each age and gender category were awarded prizes presented by Igor. We have raised around $3,100 from the entry fees and donations. We can’t wait to pass the money over to Project Education South Sudan!

We are extremely thankful to Snegny Resort for hosting the event and helping arrange the necessary equipment! Additionally, a huge shoutout to our partners, sponsors and volunteers for their help in coordinating this event!

The competition report has been distributed to all participants. If you would like to get another copy, feel free to contact us via the contact form!

We look forward to welcoming more ski teams to our next charity event! We will contact the local race teams about the next event in 1-2 weeks! Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks again everyone for making this race possible!

Igor, Nikita and Maria
